How it works

How Arrivo works in your practice

Arrivo works inside the systems you already use. It connects once, applies your rules to each job, hands anything that needs a person to your team, and shows you everything it has done.

Five steps, the same for every module

  1. Once

    Connect

A dedicated automation user in SystmOne or EMIS Web, and Register with a GP surgery connected over NHS MESH with your consent. Results, letters and prescription requests keep arriving in your clinical system as they do now.

  2. Your rules

    Set your rules

Registration policies, the results your clinicians agree can be filed, how letters are routed, the checks for repeat requests, and who receives each kind of task.

  3. Arrivo

    Do the routine work

Arrivo registers patients, files results, codes letters, prepares prescriptions and keeps your list up to date, following your rules every time.

  4. Your team

    Handle what needs a person

Anything that needs a decision goes to the Hub with the reason and the information needed, routed to the right role.

  5. Arrivo

    Show what it did

Every action is in the audit trail, and Insights shows time saved, waiting times and quality for your practice, PCN or ICB.

Getting started

Every practice follows the same four steps, and we agree the dates with you at the start.

  1. Agree the paperwork

We sign a data processing agreement and give you a DPIA template and a DCB0160 pack for your clinical safety file.

  2. Set your rules

Your registration policies, the results your clinicians agree can be filed, how letters are routed, the checks for repeat requests, and who receives each kind of task.

  3. Connect

We set up a dedicated automation user in your clinical system and, with your consent, connect Register with a GP surgery to Arrivo over NHS MESH.

  4. Run a shadow week

For the first week of each module, Arrivo prepares the work and your team approves it, so you can check it before switching on automatic working.

Where the data goes

Your practice stays in control of patient data at every step.

  • Work stays in your clinical system. Results, letters and prescription requests are handled there, through your automation user, with every action recorded.
  • Registrations over NHS MESH. NHS England sends Arrivo a structured copy of each application, and your practice still gets its usual PDF.
  • Your practice is the data controller. Arrivo processes data only on your instructions, under a data processing agreement.
  • Held in the UK. Data is stored and processed in the UK and encrypted in transit and at rest.
  • Records move by GP2GP. Arrivo never requests or receives a patient's record from another practice. Your clinical system does that.
