List protection

Keep every patient who should be on your list.

National list cleansing removed over 300,000 patients from practice lists in a year.7 Arrivo tracks every validation request and deadline, gathers the evidence that a patient is still with you, and keeps moves, leavers and deaths up to date, so your list stays accurate and genuine patients stay registered.

Validation requests

Every request tracked to its deadline

When Primary Care Support England asks you to confirm patients, Arrivo records each request, the patients it covers and the deadline. Practices are entitled to 30 days to respond,8 and Arrivo reminds the right person well before then.

  • Every request and patient in one list
  • Deadlines counted down, with reminders
  • Nothing missed when staff are away

Evidence

Evidence the patient is still with you

For each patient, Arrivo looks for recent contact in the record: appointments, prescriptions issued, results and letters. Patients with recent contact are marked ready to confirm, with the evidence listed for your reply.

  • Recent appointments, prescriptions, results and letters
  • The evidence listed for your reply
  • Patients who need extra care flagged, such as people in care homes or with no fixed address

Patient contact

Patients asked to confirm, and replies prepared

Where there's no recent contact, Arrivo can text or write to the patient asking them to confirm their address, and records each reply. It then prepares your response with the evidence for each patient, for you to check and send.

  • Texts and letters in your words
  • Replies recorded against each patient
  • Your response prepared for you to check and send

Moves and leavers

Moves, leavers and deaths kept up to date

Arrivo watches for changes to patients' details on the Personal Demographics Service. When someone moves, it checks the new address against your boundary and updates their contact details. When a patient registers elsewhere or dies, it confirms the deduction and that the record has gone where it should.

  • Address changes checked against your boundary
  • Deductions and deaths reconciled
  • Out-of-area patients listed for your policy

Re-registration

Removed in error? Back quickly

If a genuine patient is removed, Arrivo sends them a link to re-register and handles the application the moment it arrives, so they're back on your list as soon as possible.

  • A re-registration link sent the same day
  • The application handled as soon as it arrives
  • Each case recorded as evidence
Every patient kept is worth about £130 a year to the practice.

That's based on the BMA's figures for funding lost through list cleansing.7 A removed patient who has to re-register can cost at least a quarter's funding.8
