Prescriptions

Repeat requests checked and ready to sign.

Arrivo prepares every repeat request before a prescriber sees it: matched to the repeat template, checked against review and monitoring dates, and grouped so the clear ones can be signed together. A prescriber signs every prescription.

Requests

Every request matched to the repeat template

Requests from the NHS App, your website, community pharmacies and reception arrive in your clinical system as they do now. Arrivo matches each item to the patient's repeat template and flags anything that isn't on it, such as an acute medicine or a changed dose.

  • Requests from every route in one queue
  • Items not on the repeat template flagged
  • Duplicate and early requests spotted

Checks

Review and monitoring dates checked first

Before a request reaches a prescriber, Arrivo checks the medication review date and any monitoring your practice requires, such as blood tests for certain medicines, using the protocols your clinicians set. Requests that are due a review go with a note, and the patient is invited to book.

  • Review dates and monitoring checked against your protocols
  • Patients due a review invited to book
  • Controlled drugs always marked for the prescriber's attention

Signing

Clear requests signed together

Requests that pass every check are grouped for each prescriber, so they can be reviewed and signed in one go. Flagged requests are shown separately with the reason. Nothing is issued without a prescriber's signature.

  • Grouped for each prescriber
  • Flagged requests shown with the reason
  • Signed in your clinical system, as now

Patients

Patients told when it's done

Once the prescription is signed and sent to the patient's nominated pharmacy, Arrivo can tell them, and patients due a review are invited to book it.

  • A text when the prescription has gone to the pharmacy
  • Review invitations with a booking link
  • Fewer calls asking whether a prescription is ready
A prescriber signs every prescription.

Arrivo prepares and checks requests using your protocols. Prescribing decisions stay with your prescribers, and our clinical safety case sets out how each check is controlled.
